Photo Of The Day 1 2014

The way things are going around here, I think there is going to be a lot of pictures of snow over the next couple weeks. This image was taken in Amherst N.Y. and is of Ellicot Creek all frozen over.

The image was taken with my Android device Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II. I loaded the image in Gimp 2.8 adjusted the levels, played with the curves, and a slight tweak to brightness - contrast.

Update, Daily Photo NY Snow Proves Useful !

Well, I've been a terrible blogger. Things have been a bit hectic, and I just haven't had time to post here or to my Google plus stream. Anyways, it's Sunday, I just got back from the liquor store, and all the snow around here has proven very useful for one thing !

After The Snow

This is one of the first photos I took with my camera that I was happy with. I decided to try and do a daily photo for the blog. This way I'll have a time frame journal of how I improve or digress.

One Of My First Pictures

This was the first sunny day we had since I got my new camera for Xmas. I went to a park by the river and these are some houses on an island across from where I was. 

I'm currently shooting in auto mode, and this pic was taken with a 55 - 200 mm lens.
